For the most part, when you think of genetic testing, you usually think of a situation in which the parents are trying to determine if the baby is healthy. But in the near future, some parents may opt for genetic testing to determine if their child is gay or straight.
In his research, Professor Klitzman from New Zealand is working on a myriad of tests including those to predetermine if a child will be born with autism or certain types of cancer. Klitzman has gone as far as to say he may be able to find the ‘gay gene’, essentially allowing parents to test for ‘gayness’ in utero.
