Angola is recording significant progress in actions related to the application of plant biotechnology in the agricultural sector, in the context of a national plan on the issue, said Wednesday in Luanda the Agronomist Marcolino Capita Bembe.
According to the expert, who was speaking to Angop, this process has been conducted by scientific means, aiming to provide greater gains in productivity, quality and diversity of plants explored. As for the plants grown for food, the expert said that they prove most sensitive to the plague rather than the wild ones, taking into account the reduction in toxicity.
