What is the source of this data? I’m not doubting the information, I just don’t use sources without citations.
Munchygut, this was taken from the August 2013 issue of the journal Science, the preeminent science journal in the US. It can be found here http://www.sciencemag.org/content/341/6147/730.full . The positive effect of BT engineered crops is well documented in the US, India, and China. Take a look at the full infographic; for example, some countries in the EU use far more pesticides than are used in the US.
As you know — and are purposefully not saying — while some crops show a decline, overall herbicide/pesticide use is way up since the advent of GM crops: http://www.enveurope.com/content/24/1/24
Since this is a self-evident industry propaganda site, why am I not surprised that this inconvenient fact was ignored?

Thank you for the information. I appreciate your taking the time.
Nice bait and switch.

The post relates to insecticide use not ‘herbicide/pesticide’ use.
